Pernille Rudlin
European Representative - United Kingdom
Pernille Rudlin holds a B.A. with honours from Oxford University in Modern
History and Economics and an M.B.A. from INSEAD. She is fluent in spoken and
written Japanese, and lived in Japan for 9 years. She spent nearly a decade at
Mitsubishi Corporation working in their London operations and Tokyo
headquarters, including a stint in their International Human Resource
Development Office. After leaving Mitsubishi, Pernille headed up an e-learning
business unit at a software company, did consulting work in the mobile phone
industry, and taught cross-cultural training seminars for firms in the U.K. and
other parts of Europe. She has written or contributed to several books on
Japanese business and management, including Encyclopedia of Japanese Business
and Management, A History of Mitsubishi Corporation in London: 1915 to present
day and Kaisha no Naka no Gaikokujin (Foreigners in the
Japanese Corporation).
Since starting Japan Intercultural Consulting’s operations in Europe in 2004, Pernille
has conducted seminars for Japanese and European companies in Belgium, Germany, Japan,
the Netherlands, the UK and the USA, both on Japanese cultural topics and on working
with different European cultures.
