Kelton Boyer
Facilitator - Nagano, Japan
Kelton Boyer graduated cum laude in Philosophy from Kenyon College, and has done graduate level studies in Japanese Literature at Rikkyo University and Southeast Asian Studies at the University of Michigan. He has passed Level 1 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test and Level A of the JETRO Business Japanese Language Proficiency Test. Kelton first came to Japan in 1982, as an an exchange student at Waseda University, followed by a year at Rikkyo and finally returning to Shiojiri, Nagano in 1990 as an Assistant English Teacher. He has also been an apprentice to a Japanese Pottery Master for three years. Kelton established Shinshu Language Service in 1994. As President of this company, he has had a wide variety of experience interpreting, translating, and consulting in various business situations. He also serves as a Lecturer in English Presentation Skills at Shinshu University and as Head of English education for Matsumoto Jukunen Taiiku Daigaku. Kelton brings his deep experience of Japanese culture, business situations, and teaching experience to create dynamic seminars.
