Kimi Komisarof
Facilitator - Tokyo, Japan
Kimi Komisarof holds a B.A. degree in English literature from Doshisha
University and an M.A. degree in intercultural relations from Lesley College.
She is a native of Japan and lived for five years in the United States and two
years in Baghdad, Iraq. Prior to her sojourn in the U.S., Kimi worked for three
years for a Japanese manufacturing company as a coordinator for developing
international training programs. In the U.S., she managed a branch office at an
international education company. In this position she was responsible for human
resource management as well as cross-cultural training. Over the past nine
years, Kimi has designed and conducted training sessions in cross-cultural
communication to many large international corporations, educational institutes,
and government organizations in both the U.S. and Japan. She presents at
international conferences such as the Society for Intercultural Education,
Training and Research (SIETAR). In addition to her work as a consultant, Kimi
is a lecturer at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and Reitaku University,
where she teaches Intercultural Communication and English. Kimi is co-author of
Ibunka Workbook (Intercultural Workbook). Kimi completed the Executive Coach Training Course,
approved by the Japan America Institute of Management Science (JAIMS), in April, 2006.
