Sunil Kulkarni is a first generation entrepreneur from India who has setup & is managing 3 companies in Japan in the areas of IT, Consulting and Food & Culture Exchange.
Sunil comes from Pune, a city known for education and which is a Japanese language hub in India. He worked for Computervision (PTC), Sutra Systems, Honda R&D Center (Utsunomiya), CTC (Itochu Technoscience) and other Japanese & International companies before he went on to setup Fidel Technologies, an IT Services company. Fidel has been instrumental in helping Japanese companies to cut costs by leveraging the Indian development center and offers Development & BPO services to Japanese and global clients. It also introduces Japanese companies to Indian markets by localization of contents and products/services to the Indian markets.
Fidel Consulting, his other company, helps Japanese companies with sales and distribution in India by way of market research, assisting in understanding local market needs and actual sales.
Sunil is the recipient of the prestigious Japan Foundation Scholarship in 1992, and an MIT Boston Technical scholarship in 1996. He is also the winner of a Japanese language speech contest held in India.
Sunil speaks fluent Japanese and English, and some Italian. His hobbies include Technology, Trying out new Business models & Reading.
