Susan holds a B.S. in Psychology and Sociology from Simmons College and an
M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern
University.
Susan has executive human resource management experience of exceptional breadth
and depth as a result of nearly two decades of work with Official Airline
Guides, Inc. The positions she held included Director - Human Resources
Development and Vice President - Human Resources. She was responsible for human
resource strategic planning, executive coaching, assessment of key staff,
employee and corporate communications, as well as the traditional human
resource functions of employment, affirmative action, employee relations and
counseling, training, benefits and compensation for a company of over 1100
employees. She was actively involved in the integration of acquisitions,
divestiture of companies and the due diligence process.
Susan pioneered Illinois' first onsite business day care center, which opened in
1981. She has received national recognition and been a frequent speaker on
topics concerning progressive human resource management, innovative programs in
training and development, day care, employee wellness and flexible work
alternatives.
As a consultant, Susan is experienced in strategic manpower planning and the
impact of restructuring and re-engineering on organizations and their
employees. She has also conducted cultural and organizational assessments that
included recommendations for alternative benefit programs and employment
policies. Susan has taught at DePaul University and Lewis University Business
School. She is on the boards of the Evanston United Way and Literature for All
of Us.
