Our HR outsourcing service is designed for small and medium sized Japanese businesses that don’t have an HR specialist and require advice and support for their HR policies and other HR related issues.
Thanks to our understanding of the key differences in UK employment law and practices compared to Japan, we can ensure HR policies are not only customised to suit your company, but also comply with the law. Our services can contribute to the avoidance of potential employment related problems and the strengthening of employee motivation and loyalty.
1. Annual service
For clients who already have an employee handbook and contracts in place, we offer an annual subscription based service (£1650 a year) comprising the following:
UK employment law updates
Changes to employment law occur twice a year in the UK. We will provide information on these changes and advice on how to respond to them.
Email and telephone support
Support in Japanese or English, on any HR issues or how to handle particular situations in your organisation.
Review of employment documentation
We will review employment contracts, employee handbooks, offer letters etc. twice a year to ensure complete compliance with current legislation.
2. Employment documentation
For clients who do not have any existing employment documentation, we can customise a set of documentation (employment contracts, employee handbook, offer letters etc) as part of an overall review of the company's HR policies, for £2200. Partial amendments or additions to documentation and policies will be charged by the hour.
3. Additional services
We also offer the following services. The content can be customized to fit your company’s corporate culture, industry and future direction and wishes. Such services will be charged by the hour but we can also make a quotation of likely cost in advance, depending on the nature of the work.
A detailed review of your company’s people management practices and processes
Advice to strengthen employee performance such as the review and revision of performance evaluation forms (including bilingual Japanese/English)
Advice on annual leave, absenteeism and long term sickness
Advice on recruitment processes, interviews, key points to be aware of in choosing and hiring employees
Compensation and benefits
Developing systems which benchmark market averages and strengthen employee motivation
Family friendly policies
Establishing a general approach to maternity leave, paternity leave, parental leave, flexible working etc and ensuring that any policy complies with the law.
Disciplinary and grievance procedures
We offer support (including conducting meetings and interviews) for disciplinary and grievance procedures and follow-up, which is both considerate of the emotional aspects and complies with legal obligations.
We provide support to ensure that the redundancy process is both fair and thorough.
We offer training to staff and management through use of case studies which illustrate typical UK HR issues (offered in either Japanese or English)
HR Management System - ExHR
We offer a web based HR system which enables the secure and efficient management of HR data such as employment records, visa related information and absence and illness records (end user support included).
We will also access legal advice on your behalf as necessary.
